Basic Golf Mechanics

Date: 22nd January 2018

This workshop will provide an overview of basic mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems as seen regularly by a golf course technician.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Review key safety aspects of undertaking maintenance and repair tasks in a workshop environment
  • Basic maintenance as per manufacturers guidelines
  • Basic lubrication and hydraulic maintenance
  • Improve understanding of the importance of battery maintenance and how to perform this
  • Basic electrical circuits and diagnostic procedures
  • Recap on the importance of setting cutting units correctly and be able to carry out basic maintenance procedures
