Seminar 8 - Fairway Thatch Management in Preparation for Major Tournaments

Date: 23rd January 2018

This seminar will cover the biological and cultural methods used to reduce a 5-inch thatch layer on golf course fairways to create top quality year round playing conditions.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the relationship between biological and cultural programmes
  • Realise anything is possible with hard work and planning ·
  • Relate the programmes used to a smaller scale project
  • Have an insight into selling a maintenance programmes to their club
  • Be able to make better informed choices about biological products
  • It’s not as complicated as it seems
