Deputy Course Manager

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Course Manager to support the Course Manager with the smooth and efficient running of the Greenkeeping operation.

Chart Hills is an award winning course designed by Sir Nick Faldo. Sitting in the High Weald of Kent, the course and clubhouse are easily accessible from major routes into the county. An ideal situation for weddings and private functions, Chart Hills enjoys quiet, uninterrupted views across its 200 acres of parkland course complete with Oak woodlands and lakes.

Main Responsibilities:

• To assist with the smooth and efficient running of the Greenkeeping operation
• To maintain the golf course and grounds to the highest of standards all year round specifically taking into consideration times of year, extremes of weather, growth patterns, disease risks, weed control and presentation standards
• To prepare the course for play, undertake maintenance and project/redevelopment works
• To supervise team members to ensure allocated tasks are carried out, that required procedures are being followed and provide guidance, motivation and support

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

• Qualified in NVQ Sports Turf (minimum Level 3) or currently working towards
• Previous experience in a similar role
• The ability to lead and motivate a team
• Flexible, organised and hands on approach
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
