Deputy Course Manager

St Annes Old Links Golf Club invites candidates to apply for the Deputy Course Manager position. St Annes Old Links is a highly regarded Championship course and will be a host venue of Local Final Qualifying for the Open Championship from 2018 ??“ 2021. The successful candidate will report directly to the Course Manager and provide an integral role in the development of the golf course and the maintenance schedule as the club works towards these future events.

Candidates are expected to have a minimum of 6 years̢۪ experience (Some Links experience desirable), including an understanding of tournament preparation and a level of supervisory experience. Candidates should be self-motivated, enthusiastic and possess good communication skills. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an excellent understanding of greenkeeping practices based on sound agronomic principles, a good understanding of Health and Safety protocols in the workplace and an ability to plan, organise and monitor the daily work under taken by the greenstaff.

The successful applicant should be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent and hold PA1, PA2 & PA6 spraying licences along with any other relevant qualifications. A working knowledge of modern irrigation systems including fault finding and repairs is desirable.
