Deputy Head Greenkeeper

Castletown Golf Links is seeking a new Deputy Head Greenkeeper

Course highlights:

• Old Tom Morris design dating back to 1892
• The course is located on Langness Peninsula at the South-eastern tip of the Isle of Man, effectively occupying its own land mass and being surrounded by the sea on all sides, it offers a highly unique landscape
• 2012 rated within Rolex’s top 261 golf courses in the world, 2017 rated 63rd best Links golf course in the UK & Ireland by top100golfcourses.com
• The course is receiving ongoing investment including full bunker re-generation project, updates to machinery, and modernisation presenting an exciting opportunity to effect change and make your mark

Requirements:

• Overwhelmingly the successful candidate will be highly-motivated, organised, with a practical, can-do attitude, and a passion for golf
• Minimum 5 years green keeping experience, preferably at a reputable Links course, with suitable qualifications plus spraying certificates
• Equipped both technically and practically to undertake, and provide training on, all core green keeping duties to the highest standard including cutting, aeration, irrigation, and application of chemical treatments with proof of personal commitment to continued professional development
• Ability to create and lead daily and seasonal works plans. You must be ready to take responsibility for ensuring efficient, successful task completion not just of your own tasks but those of others too
• Knowledge of fine turf machinery mechanics will be advantageous
